For the last four years, Glance Film has backed, developed and produced Straight 8 films from a new wave of emerging talent in the UK and internationally. Through a script lab model, writers, directors and creative teams develop ideas from early treatments through to shooting scripts. Several films have gone on to screen at Cannes, LSFF and BFI IMAX to packed audiences.

Now partnering with BFI NETWORK via Film Hub London to support the script development and mentorship elements of the lab, Glance Film is calling London-based talent in writing and directing to apply for a new cohort starting in October 2026.
